Adding weight to your workout routines will not suddenly make you a female body builder like you fear it will. And that’s right, fellas, we’re moving in on your territory. So everybody feel free to get your grunt on, leave your preconceived notions of weightlifting at the door, and start pumping iron!

Benefits

  • Increased metabolism: Want to trick your body into burning calories even when your workout is done? Lift weights! It increases your metabolism and stimulates fat burning not only during your workout but even after!
  • Stay forever young: Bringing weights into your workout can also slow down aging. According to a Harvard study, resistance training involving weights helps maintain bone calcium and increase cardiovascular health which can add valuable time to your life! Be sure to lift responsibly, my friends. It’s not narcissism that has the whole weight rack staring at the mirror. Watching your form as you do these exercises is very important to avoid strain-related injuries and will also help you be able to lift with perfect form naturally in no time!
