Hello Sunshine and shades, as of yesterday we are officially in every beach goers favorite time of year SUMMER! Living in Florida, we really have pretty warm weather for most of the year. But summer is a whole different animal. Warm weather, sunny skies (except for a few afternoon showers), and long days are just a few reasons to love this season in our great state. One thing I love to do in this awesome summer weather is coming up this Friday in downtown Tampa, “Fourth Friday” is an awesome event that happens the fourth Friday of every month. Local museums and arts venues offer extended hours and free or discounted admission. Participating restaurants offer special discounts, and one of my most favorite things about the event is the ability to Sip and Stroll along the river walk. You can purchase drinks in one of the eight authorized vendors and enjoy the enchanting waterside walkways while endulging on your libation of choice. You can also rock out to live music in many different venues. As well as get in touch with your inner Gasparilla pirate and sail the seven seas (or at least the Hillsborough River) on the pirate water taxi with two free rides per person from 4pm-830pm with the Fourth Friday wristband. You can pick up a wristband at all participating arts venues in downtown. Their is so much to do and so little time. Do not miss out on this great event. Once you go I’m sure you will be like me and mark your calendars and clearing your fourth Friday of each month for this event!  It really is a wonderful slice of loving local! For The list of locations, participating venues, and schedule of events is available on their website; http://fourthfridaytampa.com/
