Hello Tampa Bay! Last week we began our fashion journey towards creating the perfect wardrobe. Although it’s technically not “spring” anymore, a little spring cleaning never hurt our closets. In fact, making sure we assess and deconstruct what we have is the first step to ensure we emerge victorious!
Every so often, we need to clean out our closet. Why? Because by cleaning out our closets we create more room for a new round of clothes… and shoes. Not to mention, it gives us the opportunity to re-invent ourselves. Recently, I’ve had a lot fun experimenting with my transition from a pattern filled wardrobe to solid colors.
So where do we begin?
Second, decide what pieces you can live without. I set the rule for myself that if I haven’t worn it in three months (excluding winter clothes) then the chances of me wearing it again are slim to none. Therefore, toss it (or if it’s in good condition, donate it)!
Third, take inventory of what you were able to keep and what gaps you will need to fill in your closet. Do you need more pants, maybe some t-shirts? Note this and make a list; this way you’ll already know what you need to buy and wont over shop.
Stay tuned for next week as we begin to explore how different cultures create their closets.
