Please tell me that you’re on Snapchat; I mean, your favorite financial institution, GTE, is on there! Does that signal the end of the world now that brands are getting on there and snapping? Probably not. The world started to end the moment that your parents got on Facebook. Remember how cool that social channel was when it was just you and your friends?
Well, Snapchat is still that cool, on the original Facebook level cool-ness circa 2002-04ish. Tell me why you ask. For one, you never know what you’re going to get in terms of pictures, videos, or messages. It’s always a mystery, and mysteries are fantastic! The content you share or view disappears after 24 hours. Hypothetically, you could take a video of yourself chugging hot sauce. But your Snapchat video won’t live forever. It will be a small moment in your life. Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram have content that basically lives forever (yes, even if you delete something, someone, somewhere, can probably find it). But, once you post a ridiculous photo or video on Snapchat, it will ghost and be gone forever. Cool right?
